Little Haul: Chanel Vitalumière Aqua and Liz Earle

Hello everyone, sorry for not updating for a little while, been very busy for the past few days! Went and did a little bit of shopping today, in search of a new summer foundation to replace my lovely (but very full coverage) Estee Lauder Doublewear. I had heard amazing things about Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, and so headed straight for John Lewis to try it out. It retails for around £31, but I am hoping it will be worth it.

I love the bottle of this foundation; it comes in a squeezable bottle as opposed to the usual glass bottles Chanel foundation usually come in. It is so much easier to dispense the product, and is safer to carry around in your bag. I also love the fact that it contains SPF 15.

It is a water based foundation, much like MAC Face and Body but I have heard it has slightly more coverage. The lovely sales assistant said it was light to medium coverage. She tried a little on my skin to match my colour (which was Beige Tendre) and my skin looked flawless but completely natural. I can't wait to try this out!

The foundation blends beautifully into the skin on my hand, and looks very natural and feels very light. I will give you an updated review in a week or so! I have high hopes for this one...

This is the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer. I LOVE the Cleanse and Polish, and really wanted to give more of their products a go. Apparently this spritzer is the same formula as the toner but just in the form of a spray. It contains aloe vera, rose-scented geranium, cucumber and vitamin E. It can be used after cleansing the face to soothe and brighten, or after makeup just to freshen up and reduce the apperance of powder and give a dewy glow. It feels really light and cooling on the face, and smells gorgeous. It retails for £12 at John Lewis.

This is the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for Normal/Combination skin. It contains borage and avocado oil, echinacea, beta-carotene and vitamin E. I have only tried this on the back of my hand but I must say that my hand very so smooth and moisturised afterwards, but not greasy at all, which I was pleasantly suprised about because it has quite a thick consistency. It costs around £17 for 50ml, which I think is quite a generous amount of product.

Have any of you tried these products before? What did you think of them?

  7. Just bought the Vitalumiere Aqua too! I was really worried the coverage was going to be too sheer but its not at all! Turns out all the fuss was with good reason. I've also been using the Skin Tonic Spritzer along with the Hot Cloth Cleanser! It's the best skin care combo. Great buys hun! xx
